The WAX trial has been given the green light and is now open to recruitment.

The WAX (Weight-bearing in ankle fractures) trial has been given green light and is now open to recruitment!

The trial is comparing early weight bearing (putting your weight through your ankle 2 weeks after surgery) versus delayed weight bearing (putting your weight through your ankle after 6 weeks) for operatively treated ankle fracture.

The trial aims to recruit 436 participants across at least 20 NHS hospitals.
