Ariane Hammitzsch

Researcher

I studied medicine at the Ludwig-Maximilians-University, Munich, Germany (2003-2010). I obtained a medical doctorate degree on the role of endothelial DNA-dependent Protein Kinase on Growth Factor-dependent Angiogenesis under the supervision of Professor Florian Krötz in 2011.

After 2 years of clinical training in Rheumatology I joined the Bowness Group in 2013 in order to work on new small molecule treatment options for Ankylosing Spondylitis. For this I was awarded a research fellowship from the German Research Council (DFG).
