India Brough

DPhil Student

In 2017 I graduated from King’s College London, having studied the effects of LPS-mediated inflammation on mouse pancreatic β-cells in the final year of my degree.

Following on from my undergraduate degree, I began working as a research assistant between the Bowness group and the Powrie group, identifying gut-centric biomarkers in the pathogenesis of Axial Spondyloarthritis.

In 2019 I began my DPhil in the Powrie group studying host-microbiota interactions in the initiation of disease, utilising gnotobiotic models of inflammatory arthritis.
