Rachel Harper

BSc (hons) ASCC FHEA

Taught MSc student

Strength & Conditioning specialist with a keen interest in exercise rehabilitation, performance optimisation, and their implications to healthcare.

Currently, I work as a Lecturer in Strength & Conditioning at Oxford Brookes University, and Strength & Conditioning consultant. This work combines education and athletic development, delivering contextual evidence-based interventions to enhance performance and recovery.

My professional work sits at the intersection of clinical research and practical application, aiming to create impactful, data-driven solutions that improve movement, rehabilitation outcomes, and reduce injury risk. Previously, my research examined biomechanical factors linked to non-contact ACL injuries, highlighting the complexity of translating verbal feedback into effective injury prevention strategies.

My research interests focus on the development of injury management systems, and all-cause mortality reduction; particularly with a view to improving pre-operative condition, biofeedback, and late-stage rehabilitation.

Pursuing the MSc in Musculoskeletal Sciences at NDORMS, I hope to collaborate with evidence-based practitioners and contribute to a research-active community, facilitating positive patient impact.
