SITU Senior Clinical Trial Manager

I am one of the Senior Clinical Trial Managers within NDS Surgical Intervention Trials Unit (SITU).

I oversee a portfolio of surgical clinical trials, including TRANSLATE, PART, SARONG, DISCUS, TWO Study, EPIONE and others. As the Senior Clinical Trial Manager, I provide ongoing support for clinical trials throughout setup, recruitment, analysis and closure. I work closely with the Trial Managers, Chief Investigators and the rest of the SITU team to ensure that these trials are delivered to a high standard.

Prior to this, I was the Trial Manager for the TRANSLATE Trial and the PART trial and have been working within NDS SITU since April 2021. Before joining SITU, I was the BRC Theme Coordinator and a Biobanker for the Translational Gastroenterology Unit (NDM).

I am originally from South Africa and relocated to the UK in 2017. Before moving to the UK, I worked as a medical scientist in a respiratory research unit of the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, South Africa. I obtained my BSc (Hons) in Microbiology from Rhodes University in South Africa, investigating the membrane binding affinity of Theiler’s Murine Encephalomyelitis Virus (TMEV) capsid protein (VP1) and its location relative to non-structural protein (2C).
