Find out the latest news for the MSK Cluster!
Over the past few months, we've been hard at work setting up the Musculoskeletal (MSK) Cluster, building strong relationships with our collaborators and industry partners, and forging collaborative links with the wider UK Human Functional Genomics (FGx) community.
In March, we hosted a successful networking event, welcoming scientists from other FGx clusters, external collaborators, and industry partners for a day of introductions, idea sharing, and connection building.

In June, we attended the first UK Human Functional Genomics Initiative Scientific Symposium in Exeter—a fantastic day filled with inspiring science, meaningful networking, and valuable knowledge exchange.

In July, our colleagues from University of Manchester visited us at the Botnar Institute for week of mutual learning and discussions on aligning our lab and bioinformatics protocols and to learn more about the AI pipelines our team is developing. This is helping us prepare for the next exciting phase of the project: processing samples and data analysis.

We are very fortunate to have a great NDORMS research teams supporting us. We are also very grateful to our wider NDORMS colleagues for their support during this initial phase. To name a few – our Research Nurses, Human Tissue team, IT, grants, finance, orders, our students, patient partners and many more.
A Big Thank You everyone!
