We’re so pleased to introduce the start of the OP Non-STOP study - a study about the optimal interventions for Perthes’ disease of the hip.

Perthes’ disease is disease that affects children in the UK, particularly in the North of England, more than anywhere else in the world. It causes several years of severe hip pain limiting the ability of the child to run, or even walk.

There is huge uncertainty about the best way to treat it - with this being amongst the top research priorities for Children’s Orthopaedic Surgeons. We are excited to finally embark on finding the answer to help these families and children.
