A new addition to the WHITE Platform – Appendix 10 LIT: a multi centre, double blinded study in people 60 years and over with a hip fracture to determine whether an infusion of a local anaesthetic (lidocaine) can reduce symptoms of delirium in the first five days after hip fracture surgery. The study will be looking to recruit 416 patients from 12 centres across the UK.
