Personal Assistant to Professor David Beard

  • SITU Administrator

I joined the SITU (Surgical Interventions Trials Unit) team in October 2018 as a Personal Assistant to Professor David Beard, and am based in the Botnar Research Centre. SITU spans both NDORMS (Nuffield Department of Orthopaedics, Rheumatology and Musculoskeletal Sciences) and NDS (Nuffield Department of Surgery), covering a range of surgical trials from orthopaedics and plastics to general surgery.

I joined the department in October 2015, via the university’s apprenticeship scheme, working as a Clinical Trial Support Officer for Oxford Clinical Trials Research Unit (OCTRU). During this time I completed my Level 3 and Level 4 Apprenticeship in Business Administration and won Oxfordshire Apprentice of the Year 2018.
