Artificial Intelligence is one of the biggest areas of development and innovation today. In our research, we are applying AI technology to tackle one of the greatest challenges facing healthcare systems across the globe: the impact of the environment and climate change.

Planetary health focuses on the interconnections between human health and human-driven changes to our environment. It considers how environmental changes, like climate change and biodiversity loss, can affect our health and well-being. By addressing global challenges such as pollution, deforestation, and food security, planetary health aims to safeguard both human health and the Earth's ecosystems for future generations.

While there is strong evidence showing that the environment has direct impacts on human health, the cause-and-effect relationships are often difficult to prove. This is where AI can come in - these systems can process large amounts of data quickly, and help researchers find patterns.

We use AI and machine learning to study health equity for everyone, focusing on planetary health.
