Aspiring Trauma & Orthopaedic Surgeon with a keen interest in clinical research and basic science
I graduated from Imperial College School of Medicine in 2021, completing my Academic Foundation Programme in Oxford with the OUCAGS. I have since worked as a Junior Clinical Fellow in the Oxford Trauma Unit for whom I have built an app that improved junior doctor induction and experience within the department. I will continue my training with an orthopaedic-themed core surgical training job starting in August 2024.
My current research projects and published works have focussed on the optimisation of patients prior to surgery. To that effect, whilst here in Oxford, I have sought to better understand the prevalence and effect of nutritional disorder within different hip and knee arthroplasty populations. My collaborations have led to several publications and have been presented internationally at the European & International Congresses of Thrombosis & Haemostasis and the SICOT Orthopaedic World Congress.
Away from medicine, I am an avid sportsman. Most notably, I competed internationally as a junior golfer and represented Oxford University in the 134th and 135th Golf Varsity Matches against Cambridge, maintaining an unbeaten record within a victorious Oxford team on both occasions. I have also represented United Hospitals Rugby Football Club for whom I currently serve as Club Treasurer.
