Ph.D.
Senior Postdoctoral Researcher
I have a multidisciplinary research background. After BSc in Pharmacy and PhD in Physical Chemistry, I took a post-doctoral position in Oxford at Kennedy Institute of Rheumatology from 2015.
My postdoc research projects focus on finding new targets and treatments for osteoarthritis. During my postdoc period, I discovered retinoic acid metabolism blocking agents as potential disease-modifying drugs for osteoarthritis; performed the first single-nuclei RNA sequencing in normal porcine cartilage; and observed the suppression of shear-induced genes in murine knee joints under the treatment of a novel lubricant.
