Postdoctoral Researcher in Flexible Eletronics for Tissure Engineering

Zekun Liu earned his Ph.D. from the Department of Materials at The University of Manchester, United Kingdom, in 2022. Following this, he joined Pierre-Alexis Mouthuy's Group as a Research Associate at the Nuffield Department of Orthopaedics, Rheumatology, and Musculoskeletal Sciences, University of Oxford. His research primarily focuses on flexible and biocompatible electronics within a humanoid bioreactor for tissue engineering applications.

His research interests lie in functional materials, particularly fiber-based materials, for developing on-skin and implantable electronics for digital healthcare. He has proposed an innovative concept of using a humanoid robot and soft bioreactor to assess implantable sensors.
