This role involves being the initial point of contact for all technical inquiries and issues, ensuring prompt and effective resolution to maintain uninterrupted research operations.

We have an exciting opportunity for an IT Analyst to join the IT team to help play a crucial part in supporting its valuable research and teaching activities. As an IT Analyst, you will play an important role in providing advanced technical assistance to end-users based across the NDORMS institutes: Botnar Research Centre, Kennedy Institute of Rheumatology, and Kadoorie Centre.
This role involves being the initial point of contact for all technical inquiries and issues, ensuring prompt and effective resolution to maintain uninterrupted research operations. The successful candidate will possess a strong combination of technical expertise, customer service skills, and a keen understanding of the unique challenges faced in a research-focused setting.
  
As an IT Analyst, you must be educated to A level standard, or equivalent level of education. You will have experience in customer-facing role/s, combined with a strong understanding of computer hardware, software, networking, and scientific software applications. You will be an exceptional communicator with excellent problem-solving skills and be able to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently. The ability to work independently but also as part of a team with a broad range of people in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary research environment supervision is essential. Knowledge of Linux, macOS and Windows, primarily in Windows followed by macOS, and proven experience in providing technical support in a research or academic environment are desirable.
 
This is a full-time permanent position.
