DPhil student

Claudia is a Medical Doctor from Australia who is currently reading a DPhil in Musculoskeletal Science. As a graduate student in the Carr Research Group, Claudia is exploring the use of electrospun nanofibers for soft tissue attachment in musculoskeletal trauma and is co-supervised by Prof. Andrew Carr, Assoc. Prof. Sarah Snelling, and Assoc. Prof Pierre-Alexis Mouthuy.

Prior to joining the Carr Group, Claudia completed a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery at the University of Adelaide. While working as a junior doctor in Newcastle, Australia, Claudia completed a Master of Traumatology at the University of Newcastle.  In 2018, she was awarded a Rhodes Scholarship (South Australia) and completed a MSc in International Health and Tropical Medicine at the University of Oxford in 2019. 

On completion of her DPhil, Claudia plans to return to Australia to undertake surgical training.
